Voice Instructor Approach:
Voice Instructor Abigail Heimann: My approach to teaching focuses on building true musicianship in a way that is tailored
to each student’s individuality. We are going to work hard on developing musical skills that will set you up for success in the future as well as have fun delving into the music you are passionate about.
My Education &
I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Vocal and General Music Education and minor in Spanish at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I graduated magna cum laude and was honored to be the 2016 recipient of the Rebecca Reichert Scholarship for Music Education. While attending Ball State, I performed one solo voice recital and sang in the Chamber Chorus, Concert Choir, Women’s Chorus, and University Choral Union. During those four years, I had a great deal of field experience teaching elementary and middle school general music as well as middle school and high school choir. For my student teaching, I co-taught high school choir and AP music theory and assisted in vocal directing the winter musical. Post-grad, I taught middle school choir and general music, which included taking students to solo contests and directing a musical.
